As an Indian, we talk about skin colour all the time and are constantly marketed to lighten our skin tone for a successful life. In this video, I discuss some of the reasons behind our "mindset" and how it came into being, how media & society continue to play a role in our perception of "beauty", why brands don't cater to people of colour and what we can do as consumers to change it.
